Bike Fitting V.S. Body Measurement

Serotta International Cycling Institution started to develop Bike fitting concepts since 1974. In the past, bike fitting service enjoyed world class athletes only.

36 years past. Today is Nov 2010. I found most of local cyclists in Hong Kong just don't know "What is bike fitting?"

Mostly often, cyclists misunderstand body measurement = bike Fitting.

There are numerous of formulation based programs available in internet. These programs deduce bike dimensions by calculation of rider body dimensions (e.g. arm length, height)

This is body measurement but NOT Bike Fitting.
